Directions from the railway station:
On foot or cycle
if arriving from Swindon and London cross the footbridge; if
arriving from the North, Cheltenham or Gloucester walk straight
out of the station.
Walk to the end of Station Rd leaving the pub on your right. Turn
left, cross the road and turn right into the pedestrian King St.
Walk past WHSmith on your right, go straight ahead crossing the
road and leaving The Greyhound on your left. Pass the Library on
your right. Turn left down Locking Hill. Cross the road and then
cross Slad Rd at pedestrian traffic lights. Go in to the park
entrance and diagonally uphill across Park Gardens; enter and
cross the small playground and you will see a gate half way up
the footpath. Enter and follow the "Main Street".

Driving from the South and East
Leave the M4 at Junction 15, Swindon, Cirencester.Follow A419 from Cirencester. When approaching Stroud, turn left down the ring road "Dr Newton's Way", leaving Waitrose on your right. Turn right at the end of the dual carriageway and go straight ahead leaving the large Stroud and Swindon building society on your right. Under the railway bridge and past the Apollo Cinema on your right. At the end turn right and immediately left into Slad Road. Take first turning left opposite Lloyds Chemist. If you pass the Co-op Swift-Shop then you have gone too far! Use their car park to turn round. Park on Folly Lane or Birches Drive or as advised by your hosts. There is only one visitor's space in Springhill which is bookable, contact your hosts for advice.
From the South, Nailsworth, Bath, A46
Take the A46 into Stroud and carry straight on not turning right
or left until you go under the railway bridge and past the Apollo
Cinema on your right. See above.
From the South West, West or North, M5
Come off the M5 at junction 13, signed Stroud. Follow the signs
all the way into Stroud until you reach the large Stroud and
Swindon building society. Turn left and go under the railway
bridge and past the Apollo Cinema on your right. See above.
On foot from the car park:
go down either flight of wooden stairs immediately to the left or
right of the big wooden and glass common house. When you get to
the bottom, you are on the "Main Street".
Other Parking
If you absolutely NEED to park on site then please contact your
host and they will arrange to book the visitor's space or to move
a car to allow you to park.
For other parking, try Slad Road (after 6.30p.m. you can find
plenty of parking on single yellow lines) Birches Drive, Folly
Lane or Thompson Rd or park in the Shambles car park and walk
down Brick Lane. DO NOT park on Uplands Road (which is private)
or on Springfield Road past the red brick frontage.
From top of town, on foot or cycle:
walk down Brick Lane, cross Slad Rd, up and left into Uplands Road (the PO is on the corner) when you get to the bottom of Uplands Road there are some large wooden gates: walk into the site turning right along the "Main Street".
From the bottom of town, on foot or cycle:
head for the Co-op Swift-Shop on Slad Road. Go into the park entrance and diagonally uphill across Park Gardens, enter and cross the small playground and you will see a gate half way up the footpath. Enter and follow the "Main Street".
